“Traditional roles” to be played or assumed in LGBTQ relationships.

Traditional roles to be played

I believe in general, people’s personalities are fluid in nature. And just as individual personalities can vary, I expect the same room for flexibility to allow relationship dynamics to vary and be fluid.

Questions like “who wears the pants?” and “are you the dominant one?” are pretty typical and remind me how societal norms encourage individuals, in any given relationship, to assume these pre-set roles AND fundamentally base their relationships around them. As if there is some ideal ‘one size fits all’ template that is the ultimate ‘right way’ to do it [relationships]. | Asia, Atlanta
